Packers S Xavier McKinney rips refs after loss to Lions
Oct 26 (Field Level Media) – Green Bay Packers All-Pro safety Xavier McKinney didn’t mince words when describing the officiating after Sunday’s 20-17 loss to the Detroit Lions. Green Bay Packers All-Pro safety Xavier McKinney expressed dissatisfaction with the officiating following the team's 20-17 loss to the Detroit Lions. He specifically highlighted several penalties and an unnecessary roughness call on defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt for a late hit on wide receiver Mona-Ra St. Brown. McKinney said the officiation "just doesn't make any sense" and that it's killing momentum, affecting drives and potentially exacerbating games. Green Bay's three-game winning streak ended on Sunday. McKinny, who shares the NFL lead with three interceptions and 31 tackles this season, said he wouldn't mind receiving a fine if the NFL took issue with his comments.
