Three men worked together to steal the SUV from a Kwik Trip parking lot in Oak Creek, prosecutors said Three men are facing charges for stealing an SUV with two children still inside. The theft occurred on February 4 at a Kwik Trip parking lot in Oak Creek. The family reunited after reuniting after 20 minutes. The suspects had been driving around looking for a car stolen when they saw Adam Jorgenson driving his BMW. They allegedly distracted him by asking for directions. The stolen SUV was driven off with the girls still in the back seat. Body camera and squad video shows the family reuniting minutes after the theft.

"It happened in front of my eyes at one of the busiest gas stations around here, and it happened in seconds," said Adam Jorgenson, who spoke with WISN 12 News back in February after his car was stolen.According to a criminal complaint, Ladarius Wright, Bobby Reed III, and Bedee Usama had been driving around that February day looking for a car to steal when they saw Jorgenson drying his BMW after a car wash. Prosecutors said Wright and Reed yelled to Jorgenson and distracted him by asking for directions. Then, prosecutors said Usama hopped in the drivers seat and drove off with the two young girls in the back seat.Jorgenson ran inside the gas station and called 911. In the 911 call, obtained by WISN 12 News, Jorgenson and dispatchers work together to track Jorgenson's phone, still in the stolen SUV, to a side street about a mile away."Someone just stole my car on 27th street with my two kids in the car," Jorgenson said in the 911 call.Body camera video released Thursday shows police arrive, find the car, and the girls. Two-year-old Autumn, and eight-year-old Charlie were shaken up in the back seat, but safe. Squad camera video shows an officer bring the girls a stuffed animal.Prosecutors said the thieves had abandoned the car and the girls. Police picked up a frantic Jorgenson at Kwik Trip. "I got out of the police car and I ran as fast as I could up to my car, to my girls in the back seat there," Jorgenson said in an interview with WISN 12 News.Wright, Reed, and Usama are all facing multiple charges ranging from child abduction to operating a vehicle without the owners consent.Wright and reed are due back in court Tuesday.
