Airbnb Announces New Rules That Limit Checkout Chores: What WI Travelers Need To Know
Wisconsinites booking an Airbnb for a getaway may soon have fewer chores standing between them and checkout. Airbnb has announced new rules that limit guest chores for reservations booked on or after Nov. 20. Hosts will not be allowed to ask guests to strip beds, wash and put away dishes, or remove trash from the property. The new policy also prohibits hosts from imposing fines or limiting access to amenities advertised in the listing. All house rules must be clearly stated in a designated section of the listing before booking. Some exceptions may apply, but guests must still follow house rules and are encouraged to honor reasonable requests. Host owners who don't comply with the policy could face warnings or be told to update their listings.
