Walworth County farm owner, Rachel Catlett, has learned that two high-voltage power lines could potentially cut through her land. The Wisconsin Southeast Transmission Project, or WISE, is proposed by Viridon and is planned to connect to the Sugar Creek substation near Elkhorn. The BECI Project from Midcontinend Grid Solutions also plans to connect through the Sugar creek substation. These proposals have been met with universal disdain from Walworth County residents and municipalities since their introduction two months ago. Catlett and her neighbors refuse to back down on the power line plans, despite another pamphlet arriving on her doorstep.
