Who's running for Wisconsin governor? Where Crowley, Tiffany stand on key issues
Wisconsin has an open race for governor for the first time in more than a decade. Here's where David Crowley and Tom Tiffany stand on some key issues. Democrat David Crowley is running against Republican Tom Tiffany in the race to succeed Tony Evers as Wisconsin governor. Crowley's plan focuses on lowering household costs, particularly housing and energy expenses, expanding apprenticeship and technical training programs, reducing red tape for small businesses, improving access to affordable capital, and expanding affordable housing and homeownership assistance. As Milwaukee County Executive, Crowley signed an ordinance requiring law enforcement agencies to obtain prior written authorization before using Milwaukee County Parks as staging areas for law enforcement operations unrelated to park safety or emergencies. He also supports increasing mobile health outreach, access to addiction treatment, and emergency medical services innovations statewide. U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany currently represents Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District and has received the Republican Party of Wisconsin's endorsement. Tiffany's healthcare viewpoints include legalizing medicinal marijuana with strong safeguards, allowing children to use it, and preventing Wall Street from buying single-family homes.
