Acclaimed country artist Mickey Guyton performed the National Anthem for Game 1 of the World Series at American Family Field in Milwaukee. This was Guyton's first performance in Milwaukee and was part of the pregame festivities, which included a massive American flag and a 15-year-old bald eagle from Milwaukee's Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. The cast included about 350 people, mostly Milwaukee-area residents, including 20 members of the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies, and current and former marching band members from nearby universities. In addition, Violent Femmes performed a half-hour set for ticketholders before the stadium opened.
