Jackson police lieutenant released from burn center nearly 3 months after Cedarburg shed explosion
Mike Foeger and his father Karl were both critically injured in the July 25 explosion. Mike Foeger, a former Jackson police lieutenant and former chief of police at the Newburg Police Department, has been released from a Milwaukee burn center and transferred to a rehab center in Mequon, Wisconsin, nearly three months after a shed explosion in July that left both Mike and Karl Foegen critically injured. The incident occurred in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Investigators believe a propane tank inside the shed may have contributed to the explosion. Mike was able to crawl to a neighbor's home and receive medical assistance after the explosion, but his father, Karl, 82, is still recovering in the Milwaukee burn facility.
