Packers sign Mekhi Becton to 53-man roster, put Jacob Monk on IR
The Packers had a couple of offensive linemen go down with injuries in Sunday's loss to the Lions and they moved one of them to injured reserve on Monday. The Green Bay Packers have had two offensive linemen injured in their loss to the Lions, with one of them moving to injured reserve due to a quad injury. Jacob Monk, who replaced starting center Sean Rhyan, will miss at least four games as a result of being placed on injured reserve. The Packers filled his position by signing veteran guard Mekhi Becton off of their practice squad. Bectons, who started 14 games for the Chargers in 2025 and won a Super Bowl win in 2024, was released in March after starting 15 games for Eagles and spent his first four seasons with the Jets.
