At 92, Bud Selig hopes this is the moment he finally sees the Milwaukee Brewers win a title

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Bud Selig hoped for a smoother World Series start than in 1982. Former Milwaukee Brewers owner and baseball commissioner, Bud Selig, hopes to see the team win their first title at the World Series. His mother, Marie Selig fell and broke her hip during the team's first World Series game in 1982, leading to a 10-0 victory over the Cardinals. Despite this, the Brewers ultimately lost the Series in Game 7. Selig was a hands-on owner and was instrumental in the team reaching the playoffs for the first time in 1981 and winning the AL pennant in 1982. He was also a minority investor in the Milwaukee Braves, who played at County Stadium from 1953-65 and won two NL pennants and the 1957 World Series, and remained as commissioner until his retirement in January 2015 at age 80.
