Lions HC Dan Campbell Gives Telling Update on Brian Branch’s Status for Packers Game
Lions head coach Dan Campbel, recently gave his take on the returning safety Brian Branch's status ahead of the Packers game The Detroit Lions' defensive woes have been highlighted by the potential debut of Pro Bowl safety Brian Branch, who is expected to make his debut against the Green Bay Packers. Despite a torn right Achilles tendon last season, Branch was sidelined for ten months and returned to practice on October 7. His return could significantly strengthen the Lions' struggling secondary, which has been criticized for giving away 404.4 yards per game and allowing 297.4 passing yards each game. Branch's versatility and ability to play as deep safety, slot corner, or in the box could significantly enhance the team's defensive performance. While his game status remains 'questionable', he has had full practice this week and is ready to play.
